In March 1975 P.S. 164 students entered a city wide contest organized by the French government and the American Association of Teachers of French.  First prizes were awarded to Kevin Hughes and Shari Zook.   The awards were presented at the French Embassy in New York City.

Branly Cadet, William Graves, Annette Irizarry, Peter Schenkman and Sandra Wiseberg had their work displayed at a special exhibition at the Bibliotheque Du Centre-Beaubourg in Paris.

Honorable mention went to Gary Davang, Lori Hoberman, Mara Reiss, Sandra Salama and Danielle Stanzer.  Their work was displayed in P.S. 164
