About Me:: Hi everyone. This site is so cool. Even though I moved from Kew Gardens Hills when I was 12 I still have such vivid memories. I presently live in New Jersey, married for 20 years and have 2 kids -- a 15 year old girl and 12 year old boy. I graduated with a business degree from SUNY-Oswego and worked for 12 years doing Market Research for Citibank credit cards. At that time we were living in Bayside. After I burnt out at age 31 (with 2 small kids), we moved to New Jersey. I stayed home to raise my kids but now am back to work as an Instructional Assistant in one of the local elementary schools. I still remember Vleigh Place and the candy store on the corner, Dotties (or something like that - I can't believe that the name just popped into my head). I also remember walking up to Main Street to the pizza place (can't remember the name of that one!).

She just got remarried and her son, Brandon just graduated HS and is off to college. She and her husband have a boat and spend most weekends on it. Donna is doing well and is also living on Long Island. Her two boys are getting big too. I also remember our camping trip. I'll never forget Marla falling out of the tent or how skillful we were at using a pail at night. I still like camping. Unfortunately we don't get to go very often. The summer is almost over and we haven't gone once this year. Marla and I keep saying we are going to get together but we never pick a date. I'll have to call her and get a date on the calendar. If I remember correctly you have a daughter and a son. I think your daughter has my name, but I can't remember if it is the middle or the first. Send my love to all. Danielle

I think Karen may have had one...what about Barbara Labensky? She moved too, but I can't remember exactly when. I remember going to Gary Seckendorf's bar mitzvah. Funny what random factoids I still remember (but how much more I've forgotten!).

Not sure who'se bat mitzvah you're remembering, but not mine (I didn't have one!). I do remember a lot of days riding bikes at Park Drive East with you and Carol. Do you ever find yourself in Chicago for work these days? It would be a fun to re-connect. I don't get to NY much any more (my brother still lives there, on LI, but that's it).

The pizza place was Mama Lucy's--I really miss NY pizza; what the call pizza in Chicago just isn't the real thing!
