Wow...that's shocking to hear about Danny. Did you keep in touch with him over the years? I'd be curious to know what he was doing, where he was living, and about his name change...

P.S. - Just looked at that 4th grade photo...I think that's Daniel Feinbloom to the left of you. (Also, I think I may have reversed the 2nd/3rd grade teachers I had. Perhaps that's Ms. Tunney in the 3rd grade photo, and Ms. Rispoli in the 2nd grade). :)

Yes, that's me next to Eric in that photo. I think my 2nd grade teacher was Ms. Tunney (who married during that school year, but I can't recall what her name changed to), and in 3rd grade (if I recall correctly) it was Ms. Rispoli. I think I did mistake you for Philip. I definitely remember Erica, as my older sister had her mom for her teacher in 6th grade...

Yes...It's definitely a balancing act for multiple subjects in 6th grade. How do you like teaching high school age? Also...did you have blond hair when you were much younger? I'm trying to place you in some of the second/third grade pictures I saw on this page. (I was at P.S. 164 from K-3, then moved from Flushing to Bayside, Queens. You were probably in Mrs. Simon's first grade class with me.)

Hi Tom. Thanks for the e-mail. Good luck with your new school year, too! Last year, I also had to teach a "split class' (a combination 5th/6th grade---double lessons in all subjects). Let's just say it was a 'long' year. Thankfully, only one grade (6th) for this next year. :)

Also living in the Bay Area (San Francisco)...teaching 14 years in elementary school.
