Yes the Judo incident. It was in Silverblatt's second grade glass. She had left the room unattended for a while. Carlton Yancey, one of the biggest kids in the class was showing me a flip he had learned. Next thing I know whammo! I do a face plant on the hard floor breaking both front (permanent) teeth. You may remember me having to wear stainless steel crowns on these teeth for years.

Do you remember me? We were in several classes together at 164. You were always a very friendly person. For some reason I remember you doing this crazy trick where you would plant both your elbows down on the desk and make your hands spin in the air . And I think it was you who brought a box of jawbreakers to class one day without anyone knowing. You were eating one and the teacher caught you and said, "Neal, if you brought candy, you better have brought enough for the whole class.". We then all watched you reach into your desk for the box with anticipation, salivating with the hope of a candy. All of a sudden the box was upside down and a million jawbreakers were bouncing all over the tiled floor. LOL!!

Thanks for making me smile............ We go WAY back...............Hard to believe my kids are twice as old as we were when we were in PS 164! (My daughter is 17 and my son is 14. The dog is 7.) Lots of memories from PS 164, Campell's (did you go there/ must have) and Kew Gardens Hills Jewish Center. Remember Gila Wolf, Dr. Kutin, Rabbi I Usher Kirschblum??!!??? (Saw him the Rabbi briefly in Israel in 1979 -- he did not remember me or my family although we were members for years, went to school there for years, and we had our b'nei mitzvot there!) Do you keep in touch with anyone from Kew Gardens Hills? Touched base with Spencer Fox over facebook recently. You look very happy and I'm very happy for you. Karen
