hi lynne.. how are you?

It was nice to hear from you and I'm happy to know the pictures hit home. My daughter's in-laws have a camp at Racquette and my wife and I get to go up on occasion. Bob and Lynn Montesano (the first photo) are at Racquette regularly (we both live in Utica) as are others of their family. I have a new camera, so I took a lot of pictures as you can seel. It's likely if you attend any craft shows or other events in or near Racquette, you've seen some of Bob's Adirondack photography. His are fantastic. Perhaps one day we'll be up there when you are - Best wishes.

So nice of you to write. It would be fun to get together and share memories and stories. Our kids are visiting for the next week, but after that I'll give you a call and perhaps we can plan to get together. My husband also is from Queens and his cousin is from Bay Terrace so we have lots of memories from there as well. Best-- Janet

I just read your comment that you wandered around Bay Terrace (Cake Box and Bens). Wonder if we ever ran into each other and did not know it - although I lived in N.J. when I left Kew Garden Hills, I moved back to Bayside and then Whitestone after I got married and lived in Lakeside Tower in Bayside and then Le Havre in Whitestone.

Wow, my mom also moved to a condo near the bay terrace shopping center! Whenever we visited, we'd go to the Cake Box, the pizza place, Carvel--all the things we can't get in Chicago. Her condo was on Bell Boulevard, near 211th St, I think.

I'll get the hang of this website soon, I hope!
