We're good. My youngest, Daniel, is turning 20 and is at BU. My oldest, David, is 38 - hard to believe, and is living in Asheville, NC with his wife and little daughter Sophia who will be turning 3 is September. I married before my senior year at Pratt, David was born 1 1/2 years later, and I remarried in '85. Where are you in the Slope? We used to run into each other every year or two, but it's been a while. I'm at 1st on the Park. Your job sounds amazing. I too am quite impressed. While I don't remember Mrs. Rosenberg's interest in rocks, I vividly recall her love of opera. I wasn't fond of it then, and while I have an intellectual appreciation for it, I don't care for it now.

I don't think we knew each other, Jamie - I was a year ahead of you; but I am so impressed that you manage the minerals and gems at the Museum of Natural History, I just had to send my appreciations. I've probably been there almost two dozen times over the decades, ever since Mrs. Rosenberg got me into rocks & minerals and crystal collecting. And that hall has changed SO much over the years - I remember when it was a room of high ceilings and tall windows, with shafts of sunlight filled with dust (I think folks still could smoke in there back then), and just shelf after shelf of huge crystals and incredible stones.

Now (or last I visited, more than five years ago), it's an intimate space with winding ways, quiet carpeting, and backlighting to set all those stones on fire. Whatever hand you've had in that, I'd gladly shake.

I don't know if you will remember me. We were good friends in public school. I remember coming to see you - you lived directly across the street from Paul Simon. I don't remember what class we were in together, however it had to be the upper grades because I remember walking to your house which was at least a mile from where I grew up on 78th Rd and Main Street. Hi, there! My sister told me she found you on this website! Wow. You really do look the same. I'm living north of Los Angeles, and live with my husband of 34 years. I have two sons, Matt is 22 and graduating from UCLA in English and my younger son is 20 and transferring next year from JC to somewhere here in California. How have you been? Do you remember we ran into each other in Amsterdam (of all places) around 1970?? Keep in touch, and by the way I do remember Corinne and Cynthia who wrote you below. Blonde curly hair??? We'll have to catch up some more.

I recognized you immediately! Look just like you did when you were close friends with my sister Ellie, when we lived on the same street.
