Hi Joan, I think I remember you. I lived on 78th Rd, between Park Drive East and 136th St. I ran into Donna Gellman in Miami when I first moved here- 22 years ago. She was in my grade and we were very good friends. I loved going to her house after school to eat cheese doodles - we easily polished off the whole bag. Please tell her that I asked about her. thanks.

This is so much fun. I am living in NYC (one son, second marriage) and left Citigroup after 17 years. Teach communications at the U of Maryland business school and studying to be a life coach as well.

I remember we called you "Joanie". Yes, I did live on Park Drive East. I found a picture recently of Mr. Edlelstein and on the back he said something to the effect of not liking the HS photo and wanted us to have good memories of him. YIKES. He would not last one day today. I remember him telling me I reminded him of his daughter that died and that's why he needed to hug me. I'm not fluent on this site as I just joined. Where are you living? Are you still in touch with anyone?

Thanks for posting this picture. I am the hefty little princess with the white bow in her hair. All I remember about Mr. Edelstein is he was creepy and always used to hug and touch me. I also remember losing the spelling bee with the word resterant also know as restaurant. Hope you are well. Ronni

I rmember you living in your parents house and we met for lunch after we had children. We lost touch and I know you live out on the island. When I go to visit my mom who still lives there, I always pass your old house and think of you:)

Thanks for the reply. I live in Port Washington and my brother, Butch, lives near you in Melville. I don't remember Mr Edelson, I didn't have him, but most of my memories of PS 164 are very good. I had Mrs Hoffman for 5th grade and she was my favorite teacher there.

I took my kids to my old neighbothood, 78th Rd. near Vleigh Pl and by PS 164 and they got a kick out of it. The area still looked nice to me.
