i told peggy we emailed and, she (uncharacterisically - she is decidedly not sentimental or nostalgic) remembered the following (i will cut and paste):

-I remember that her grandmother lived with her.

-I remember that once she was punished, and wasn't allowed to eat dinner. I had never heard of such a thing.

-I remember I went to her house, and her mother was making beds. I asked her why her mother did this. (I thought she should have the equivalent of Agnes doing such tasks.) I think she didn't understand my question.

OK - THIS IS ME AGAIN (with explanation) - "agnes" was our dayworker who worked at least 3 days a week for us.

i'm glad you remember us. i am somewhat close to you in connecticut i think - i live in massachusetts. sent winny (used to call him that even though now see he/you say 'win') an email too. have a snapshot i took of winny in front of our house i will scan for you next month when the scanner gets online. yes, my mother was beautiful and my father brilliant and fun (he committed suicide 3 years ago). my parents divorced in 1968 after moving to long island. my mother is re-married and living in florida. let me look at your profile and see where you live and what you are doing but be curious for you to tell me. -peter

you were friends with my sister Peggy Monroe. i was friends with your brother Winny. i remember your father was an engineer and your mother was interesting and nice and once yelled at one of your neighbors for telling us kids to 'shut-up' because he was trying to sleep in the daytime. you lived in an attached house and had a collection of china. my sister is not into reminiscing or talking to anyone from the olden days, so i am saying 'hi' instead of her - haha. -peter
