hey rick. sorry about your mother oddly not wearing a gift from her son. i used to charge my film on my parent's account at that pharmacy which was a novel thing for an 8 year old kid i suppose an i appreciated bit having to pay for it from my allowance which was 25 cents a week.
I don't blame my mother for never wearing it. In retrospect, it was the sort of jewelry that only a 9 year old could love - big and gaudy. I'm impressed that you were buying film at such an early age. Your artistic bent showed early.
after getting the camera and shooting the first roll and getting back the prints, i went back to the drug store and ordered 12 rolls. my parents made me return 11 of them.
