I remember around 1954 when the principal, Mr. Karow, taught it to us in the auditorium - he said his wife wrote it.

Mrs. Bromberg, in assembly added choreography to this. the verse after "good americans it will make us" we were instructed to point in 3 different directions when we said "Me' and then the 2 times we said "You."

Mrs. Bromberg was my fourth-grade teacher, and I remember she ran the glee club. We did a production of My Fair Lady.

I just came across the actual song that came out in 1965 whose melody we used in the "Queens Valley" song. The real song was called "Mill Valley", the name of a beautiful town in Marin county, California, near San Francisco. Check out the music video from back then, it's great!

My brother was in the class of '69 and they had a Mad Magazine-type subversive version of the school song called, "Stalag 164" (I guess it was the Hogan's Heroes Era, among other things). Any of you out there remember that one? I don't think you'll find it on the Tribute page.
