About Me:: I moved to Spain in 1970 to do flamenco, and now write about it. I was awarded Spain's National Prize for flamenco journalism in 2005, and just published a book. Two kids, two grandchildren, one cat, no husband. I remember my friends Loretta Costello, Alice Gunz, Wendy Leight, Barbara Kantor, Linda Katz, Devra Wolin.

The block has changed a lot since those days but I'm pretty sure we were right across the grassy median. Baskin-Robbins is (sadly) gone. Your message sent a chill of excitement, to think someone would remember my dad's good nature after all these years. Our address was 141-39 73rd. Ave...I don't know if that adds up... There was one house between us and the Baskin Robbins on the corner. On your side of the street I remember the Morrises and the Reismans, and the dentist on the corner, but that was a long time ago.

It would all depend on the date...sounds like it would be fun. I haven't been back to the States in about 10 years.

I'm wondering how many Baskin Robbins there were on Main St...I lived one doorway down from the one on the corner of 73rd Avenue, and it was fun to see people mention Baskin Robbins.
