- I spent 3years and a half in New York attending PS164 during 3-5th grade in 1954-57.
My 3rd grade teacher was Mrs. Emric. My best friends were Joel Epstein who went to colombia Univerity, ans Beverly Petrosino with whom i lost contact. I live in Tokyo.

I also was in Mrs. Emeric's class for third grade, and was probably in your class as I finished PS 164 in 1958.
I have a son living/working in Sendai, Japan as an engineering professor at a university there. Back in the 1970-1980 time frame I spent a lot of time in Japan at Yokota AFB while I was in the air force.
Amazing that all these years after returning to Japan you still remember Mrs. Emeric, as I'm sure most of her students do.
I am looking for my class mates from years of 1954-57 when we were in the 3rd -5th grade.
I was the only Japanese from Tokyo and I remember everyone in the class were very kind to me who spoke no English at first.
My best friends were Joel Epstein ( who went to Colombia University) and Beverly Petrosino. Unfortunately I lost contact with all my class mates and wish to find them if possible. My maiden name ia Etsuko Hirano.
It would be so wonderful to get in touch!
I left U.S. in 1957 with fond memories.
