Hi, Jeff: Thanks for your note. Mrs. Bromberg was certainly a treasure, and Mr. Karow!! What a wonderful educator! It wasn't until I was an adult that I realized what a special education we got in that public school . Part, I think, was that we had teachers who a few decades later would have been scientists, lawyers, thinkers--but were then "relegated" to teaching grade school. It makes me sad to see how little children get in public schools today, especially in some of the poorer neighborhoods (I live in one-- Washington Heights).

Sorry, I shouldn't get started on this, but...

Anyway, it was very nice to hear from you, and that you took the time to reach out.
