Why no picture? I have so many memories of you and us. You taught me the longest word in the dictionary, playing at your house and in the backyard. I remember your mom, dad and brother Danny. I can picture your room and the secret garden in the back. I used to try to get everyone to do shows with me--i don't think i persuaded you. You were one of the smartest people I ever knew. Anyway, I'm living in East Meadow with my husband--he is an English teacher, pianist, singer, actor. We met doing Fiddler on the Roof at Hofstra . My daughter is a Bio teacher and we have a beautiful 15 month old grandson. My son is at Brooklyn Law. And I am a Chiropractor with a home office. My mom is my office manager--she lives 5 minutes away. My dad passed away when he was 56. I hope this gives you a little glimpse into my life. I'd love to hear about yours. My email is backdoc88@yahoo.com. Abby

Anyway, my sister and I moved out to California in 1970 when her husband transferred. A few years later, my mother sold her store, and settled in Santa Barbara, just north of LA, where she started a small cake baking biz. She sold her Viennese tortes so local restaurants. I had a clothing store for about 14 years, now my son has an art gallery, with some t-shirts - his and friends designs. http://berdhousegallery.com/index.html
Many years of retail - it's likeable work, kinda social and all.
Did you go to Jamaica High. I graduated from there in 1968. Where does your brother live? My sister Jeane and her family moved back east to DC. Her husband went to Georgetown law school - that's the DC connection, and they are grandparents. My kids are still in more formitive stages.
I remember your parents well. Your mother's concern for you and your brother, and your father playing handball with his buddies. Great to hear from you. Many regards, Jackie
Are you still in touch with Karen? She lives in NY and is an audiologist.
