About Me:: I have many fond memories of my elementary school years. A few years after graduating from Queens College, I moved out to California. Following in the footsteps of my mother (Frieda Polony on Vleigh Place), I opened a women's clothing store in Santa Monica. More recently, as a retirement career, I began teaching ESL (English as Second Language) in part to fund extended travel. So far, I taught in Russia; I hope for more trips in the near future. I'm married and have two children, a daughter still in college, and a son who is third generation retailer.

Good to hear from you. Yes, our mom's were friends and business associates related to the dress shop.

My mom, Adele, is 90 now and still mentions Frieda as the shop represents a great time of her life.

My daughter Jackie is now 37 and lives in Manhattan as well as her sister, Amanda who is 26.

We move from NY and they move there.

My wife Helaine and I are doing really well- I have a CPA firm in Phoenix and Helaine is a financial advisor. We just came back from our home in Laguna Niguel yesterday . We love it there .

it was so nice to hear from you. took me a while to respond, mainly because it is somehat overwhelming! not so much the people i went to school with, whom i may have known in high school or college. but you! how many people in the world would remember my father playing handball? (or call me ruth-ellen!) danny lives in westchester. he is a lawyer and has 13-year old twins. and he goes to queens every sunday to play handball at a playground somewhere. we went to john bowne h.s. but my husband, jay stofsky, went to jamaica. when did you graduate?? you and jeannie seemed so grown up! my phone # is 206 236-2398 and i'm listed on mercer island, washington, if you ever find yourself in seattle...
