Hey there...How did you know Donnie??? Yes, I am still in touch w/him....We share a 27 year old daughter together, also we shared our divorce since she was 3...(LOL LOL) I remember him playing drums at the battle of the bands at Queens College...He also played with Louis Perlman (someone many of us know) Who were in your band from the Flushing, NY area???

Oh yeh, and when Beefheart comes on my MP3 player in the car, my kids, who don't have bad taste in music, go bonkers.

I'm glad you remmber that incident. And that story about My Father's Place in Roslyn reminded me of another incident at the same venue. I went to see NRBQ and Roomful of Blues at My Father's Place. I was with Ira Chaykin and Paul Kossak. They knew the lead guitarist with Roomful. He was from the neighborhood or thereabouts, and he was very good, but I cannot remember his name. Nevertheless, we gave him a ride back from My Father's Place to his mother's apartment in Lefrak City.

One memory: Going to a Beefheart concert @ Town Hall. I was with friends from school. We ran into each other at the concert. I think it was '74 or '75. He was horrible. His new band was horrible. You were yelling something like "Beefhart, you sold out." On subway ride back to Queens, you were a riot. Your barbs on Beefheart's performance were right on.

I thought so, but when I asked Mitch Rymanowski and Mike Zivotofsky, they couldn't remember either. I did email Liz Ferro. I was shocked to hear about Chris and her mother. I hope things are well with you. Where are you living now? And, yes, I did and will always love your harmonica playing. In fact, rumor has it you taught Springsteen. Warren
