Hi! I definitely remember assembly days. Does anyone remember when Abe Beam or Bella Abzug came to speak to us?

I remember the white blouse but not the black skirt. I remember that a rep from each class, for boys and girls, had to go up and make an announcement how "every boy/girl in class(number) are wearing all white blouses/shirts today" or something to that effect. Once Miss Emerick wanted the boy and the girl (which was me) reo to step forward at the same time and say it together...which did not happen because we had us say it in a certain order and that was going to be awkward. I thought she was going to kill us, but I am alive today so it must have been okay.Can't remember who the boy rep was that day but I have a strange feeling that it may have been Warren Berger.

we could do black or navy.and the boys had those little riss cross ties..and u know what lol they werent just big boobs,,they werehumongous!!!and looking up from being a little kid, well I think the boobs scared the hell out of me(on top of inspection lol) so maybe thats why I dont remember her face!!! lolbut u know what,,between inspection and the way she made us hold the pencil and through all the strict stuff..the kid in me cant bellieve Im saying this,,but could she have been my favorite????? HAHAHA I always laugh that one day a resident would move into my asst living and it would be Mrs Sondike!!!!! HAHAHAShe'd probably still have me doing inspection before the nickel bingo game!!HAHAH But I learned from reading a message that she passed away a number of years ago. She is one person I will never forget...

Of course I remember. And we got commendation cards for 100% white blouses and white shirts, 100% banking and 100% attendance.
