- I lived at 137-48 75th Rd. from 1958 to 1963. My brother Fumio graduated in '60. We left in May of 1963 (at the end of 3rd grade for me) to return to Japan -- that was the worst day of my life as a child. I have so many great childhood memories from my days at P.S. 164. Was in touch with Neil Zitofsky and saw him in the spring of 1973. I now live in Northridge (Northern end of Los Angeles County), CA, with my husband, daughter and dog.

Yes, Kathy is my sister. We changed our name from Hoo back to Huie, our real surname. So good to know my father's restaurant was a hangout. My Dad is long gone but it warms me to see the Chinese restaurant he built is still a Chinese restaurant!

I remember you trying to hang out with your brother and Fred Zelinger me and a few others in the basement of your house and Fumio sending you upstairs.
I have emailed Fumio a couple of times. We were pretty close as young kids.
I am in San Diego and spend some tiem in New York. My son is 28 and is now working with my company in Lausanne Switzerland where I am going next week.
I have seen your next door neighbor= Rhona Lichtenberg a couple of times at Jamaica HS reunions.
Neil Zitofsky is still friendly with my brother Larry who has been in Seattle for 30 or so years.

hi yumiko - thanks for thinking about me and the tornado. it went through about 40 miles south in Springfield where i am often. also, you should 'friend' me on Facebook where i have posted many very good Kew Garden Hills images from the 60's - many taken with my Kodak Brownie. be interested to hear your comments. - peter

Thanks for your message. Hope all your family are safe too. I'm from Kobe, so my immediate family is OK, but the nuclear situation is not looking good. I am extremely concerned...btw, I live in Washington DC now (work) and will be for the foreseeable future. Please let me know if you plan to be on the east coast - would love to catch up.
