I was looking through the class photos to see who else may have had Miss Simms and I saw your first grade class picture and thought it looks like her. Not much is mentioned about her at all in the discussions, but I thought she was very nice and was one of my favorite teachers back then. Do you remember anything about her?

I think I heard somehow that your mom had a shop eventually. In fact, she was one of the few working mothers when we were kids---a sort of 'pioneer'???
I recall your dad, black hair, Bill, right???
Trying to remember who lived upstairs, was it Stuart Levine??....am i right in thinking whoever it was had plastic covered furniture which was very sticky in summer???? Funny the things you remember...

Do you feel you're in an alternate universe. I'm not a FaceBook person so signing up on this site was an unusual move--I had many Felliniesque moments at P.S. 164-- and I wasn't expecting to hear from people--I just thought I'd check out the site. All of a sudden the past is forward and it's quite amazing.
How does one catch up after so many years? I don't know if you heard that Mom died just over three years ago. Still haven't let her go. I kept in touch with your mom through Mom and Cele and felt so sad when she past away.
I was married for 31 years and now am not--we separated just over a year ago but are still close. I have two fantastic daughters, 23 and 17, who live with me and our dog. Cele has just become a grandmother and Glen is in the process of raising six kids--his oldest graduated from Columbia Journalism School and is on his way to becoming a network person-- four from his first marriage and two who came with his second wife.
I've been doing freelance editorial work for 30 years, have a home office that looks out on the backyard and am now trying to figure out if I can still do this as a newly single person. I'm seriously going to try because going into an office every day is not a personality trait of mine. We'll see.
What's up with you?
i see you had Mrs. Berkoff and Mrs. Russell. I had them as well, but am one year behind you.

Thanks for the 6th grade picture. It reminded me of who you are. I am the 4th kid from the right on the top row, now, the guy in the photo on the left with the red shirt. My family and the Koppleman's were friendly back then.
