Hi Shelley, 'Member me? Your old next-door neighbor. It's been really fun touching base with old 70th Road friends through this website. Sounds like you have a nice life in California. Was curious about your family, especially Arlene. I remember my sister, Dani and I fighting over who's friend she REALLY was since she was right between us in age. I'm living in Brooklyn with my husband and 15 year old daughter and am a fundraiser at the Brooklyn Public Library. Would love to hear back from you when you have a chance. Take care.

We were in many classses together, my name was Ann Hirschfeld. We lived about five doors down from you on 70th Rd. but then moved to 78th Avenue but remained at 164. We were in 6th grade together I know. Unfortunately I lost all my classs pictures but can still remember what you looked like. I live in NJ now with my 16 yr old son, Josh. I've thought about you too and wondered where you are. I've been in Toronto for 33 years, got married, had two daughters and recently separated. My girls are 23 and 17. I've visited the old neighbourhood a few times and a few years ago went to the John Bowne reunion, which was pretty interesting. I wanted the girls to see 70th Rd. and "the Back," but that doesn't exist anymore. I think I have mythologized Queens a bit. My mom died three years ago and Dad many years before her. Cele and Glen both live in New Jersey. I'm still in contact with Linda who lived in the apartment below me. What's up with you?

Hi Shelley, Your parents probably would remember my parents, Elaine and Mickey, from 70th road. (My father passed away in 1995) We lived about two doors up from you, closer to 141st Street. Howard and Donna are my brother and sister... dont know if any of these names ring a bell for you. I always remember names once I have heard them so I recognized your maiden name right away. I have a memory of your parents having a black poodle?? My mom still lives in the old neighborhood, but on Jewel Avenue where she has been since 1980. If I remember correctly, you lived downstairs from Frances Sheer? She passed away a year or so ago, my mom had kept in contact with her over the years. My brother and sister and I all live on Long Island. I just spoke to my mom -- told her that I heard from you.. she remembers your parents very well!!

I live on Long Island, divorced with 2 kids, Matt is 18 and Amy(takes after my mom :) ) 15. I work for Best Buy, I manage all the repair business in the Northeast. I have such great memories of growing up on 70th rd, the closeness of all our families. It was great times. Sitting and playing outside on the summer nights as well as the winter snow days.

hi shelley. don't think i remember your name, but i graduated '65 as you did. if you look at the class pictures, 1965 class 6-2 front row 2nd from left. not exactly sure how to find the class pictures, but, i did stumble upon them.

I remember you with long wavy red hair....Am I correct? I am hoping to find someone that has the class photos from 4th, 5th and 6th grade as I don't have them. Rosenberg and Bromberg, I can't remember the 5th grade teacher. were you in those classes?
