Yes, I did go to the reunion. The neighborhood has changed alot from when we lived there-the schoolyard was filled with Orthodox kids and their parents. The school goes thru 8th grade now since most send the kids to yeshiva. The school itself looked well kept-the auditorium was the same as was the gym and caf. I was the only one from our class and there was 1 person older. Fumio's sister was there-said that he travels Asia alot for work. I went with my niece and nephew who graduated in the 70's and knew more people than I did.
Well, next time maybe you'll make it
Best,
Elise
Looking at the photo from class 6-2 which one are you?
You'll be happy to hear that I found my autograph books from 164 and Parsons JHS-you were quite eloquent
"Don't climb the ladder of sucess. Be modern, take the elevator"
Sound familiar???
You must have gone on to be a Hollywood screenwiter, or perhaps a presidential speech writer.
Take care,
Elise
Indeed I am-or was-Elise Cooperman.
My niece and nephew who also went to 164 turned me on to the site-I think this is fun. They also tell me that there is a reunion planned for this June. Will you be going? Are there any other 1960's alive and kicking?
:-) Patricia
Not too long ago I was getting a manicure in White Plains. The manicurist was from KGH and remembered that she had a crush on a boy names Ernie Stock from 78th ave. Sorry I don't know her name, but there is one broken heart in Westchester!

I remember you quite well Ernie. I think that you were thae tallest boy in our grade at that time. I think it was in the 4th grade when I joined the class with you because it was May 1958. Do you remember another japanese girl who was in the class?
Do you keep in touch with others who garduated in 1960.
I know that Marty Bachrach is living up state, Frd Zelinger living just out side of Queens, Steven Wolfe moved Chicago from Vandevilt Med School, Joe Bucheri who was MLB player living in Florida and Jay Proffesor at NYU Medical School .
You are no longer the sole representative from the Class of 1960!
:-) Patricia
Good to hear from you. How is your sister and her family?
I live near my sister and see her often.
I like this website, a frend told me about it.
I remember 78th. Ave. It is a lot different now: Its one way towards Main st. The people who bought my house did away with the lawn and tree and paved it over as a 2ed. driveway. The area is very congested now and people have 2 or 3 cars to park. The area is also very orthadox and the stores on Main st. are almost all closed on Sat. however Sunday is a big shopping day and its hard to find a place to park.
What ever happend to your neighbors the Thomas`es, I tink the moved to Wisconsin?
I live in west orange nj with my wife Susan, she is from nj.
I do home repairs and consulting work. What do you do?
Harriet is an artest an a psychotherapist.
What other schools did you go to , jounior high and highschool after 164?
I remember riding in the Hudson your mother took your sister and mine and me to Flushing and dropped us off at the moveies. And then your parents got the 57 Buick to be followed by the 63 Pontiac Bonnieville and then the 68 pont. and then the 72 Buick.
As you can tell I like cars.
Bye for now
MG.
