Hello. I am second from the left on the last row. My career has been in academic medicine specializing in leukemia and stem cell transplantation. Most of my work was at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Currently, I am working at the City Hospital in Nashville helping the underserved. My wife Barbara and I have been married for closed to 39 years and we have two grandchildren also living in Nashville. Our family has had a very privileged life beginning with fond memories of playing baseball in the school yard at PS164 Queens. Not sure we can make the reunion. Steven
Good Day Fumio,
I like to introduce myself as I'm sure you don't remember me. I'm Joe Buccheri's younger sister Rosann. I haven't been on this sight for awhile But, I saw your name and remembered how Joe spoke so highly of you. It's nice to know that Joe's childhood friends still remember him and speak highly of him. I saw that the Murphy's where mentioned. From what I can remember Terry Murphy was badly wounded in Vietnam and is paralyzed. I do know that the family moved from the area in the mid 80"s as I was still living on Main Street & 78th Road. I hope you get a chance to relax more & travel less.I hope all is well with you & your family.
Regards,
Rosann
I check this site occaionally to see who may have signed on. Just wanted to say hello and let you know that I still think about PS 164 and the friends I grew up with. Hope all is well with you. Let me know if you ever come to San Francisco.
Ernie
All is well here in Deposit. Retirement is ok but I wish I did not get hurt so I could still be working. Summers are OK but the winter is boring. When Maria retires (4yrs) things will be different. I may go to tis reunion but I am not sure. I doubt there will be many from 1960 other then Elise. If I am in the city I will pop in but I can not make plans that far inadvance. I look at the class picture and it brings back many memories. When I see the picture of Risa Greenburg I think how I would always pop her bra strap and get in trouble. Great years.
How is everything with you and your family? Are you still traveling a lot?
My son is out of the Navy and living in Arizona whils my daughter is expecting her first child in March. needless to say my wife and I are very excited.
Well I gotta go so keep in touch and let me know when you will be in the city again. I would love to see you.
Marty
This is Elise Cooperman (now Muchnick). I am standing in the top row right corner in the class photo for 6-2.
I found my autograph book from 164 and Parsons and saw that you had signed both. This is great fun finding out what people are doing after all these years.
I am a commercial real estate broker in Manhattan and have lived in Manhattan since 1970.
Are you coming to the reunion in June-such a nice time to visit the big apple
Take care,
Elise
I cannot believe you and Yumiko remember me, although I certainly remember both of you very well. I just wanted to quickly answer your greeting to let you know how good and surprising it was to hear from you. I will write more, perhaps this coming weekend. By the way, I live in CT, but you may already know that! It sounds as if you're living in Japan. Do you ever journey to the USA and what do you think of the presidential candidates?
Regards and more soon,
Dorothy (Dottie)
I returned to Tokyo in May of 63. i had to do 2 extra years of Junior high to catch up on my Japanese. So I graduated from university in 73. After that have been working in a same bank for 35 years.
Whata have been doing after garduating from Parsons? Where do you live now.
Fumio
